Sikkerhedssko uden sømværn

På mange arbejdsplader er der ikke behov for at have sømværn i sine sikkerhedssko. Her er der mere behov for fx en tåkappe som beskytter tæerne imod klemning. Eller at skoens overdel er skærefast. I mange arbejdsmiljøer er kravet til sålens skridsikkerhed høj. D-S har flere forskellige typer sikkerhedssko som lever op til disse krav. Andre krav til sålen kan være at den er modstandsdygtig overfor olie og benzin, at sikkerhedsskoens sål er varmefast eller en kombination af flere af disse faktorer.

Producenterne af sikkerhedssko har også ofte tænkt på skoens lukke mekanismer. At de skal vær robust, men lette at anvende og justere så de passer til den enkeltes behov. Mange oplever også, at efter flere timer på fødderne begynder de at hæve. Derfor kan fleksible lukkemekanismer af fx velcro være praktiske.
