Tyvek preservation bag with velcro closure

These bags were designed by a conservator at the National Museum to store the museum's huge number of wax seals. The spun Tyvek is an inert material that provides perfect padding as well as protection of objects. The straps on the bag complete the seal. Also used to protect jewelry and valuable museum objects.

Tyvek har vist sig at være et særdeles velegnet materiale til mange bevarings- og bevarelseskrav. Dette beskyttende materiale har høj træk/slidstyrke i alle retninger, fordi dens bestanddele er spundet bundet. Den relativt glatte overflade er en yderligere barriere og forhindrer klæbe til skrøbelige genstande. Anvendes bl.a. som geologiske poser og arkæologiske tasker, fordi de kan bruges udenfor, da de er vandtætte og vand ikke vil påvirke dem. Tyvek-taskerne bruges ofte til feltprøver, idet båndets lukning gør det muligt at forsegle indholdet inde i posen.
